Samsung Galaxy S9 specs have been leaked, possibly confirming some of the rumors surrounding the upcoming flagship smartphone.

In addition to the internals of the Galaxy S8 successor, the leak also provides another hint that the Galaxy S9 will make its first public appearance in January.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Specs Leaks

A Samsung Galaxy S9 specs sheet was uploaded on SlashLeaks. The text appears to be in Chinese, but some of the numbers and quick translations reveal some details about the upcoming smartphone.

According to the leak, the Galaxy S9 display will measure 5.77 inches, or 5.8 inches as previously reported. The processor of the device is also listed as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, which is also expected, but there is no mention of the Exynos 9810, the Samsung chipset that will power the Galaxy S9 in some markets.

A look at the top of the uploaded specs sheet also reveals a date of January 2018, which is rumored to be the announcement date for the Galaxy S9. It was previously reported that the smartphone will be first unveiled at CES 2018 in Las Vegas, as Samsung will try to fight back against the rising popularity of iPhone X.

There are several missing details in the leak though, such as the Galaxy S9 RAM, camera, battery size, storage options, and biometrics. In addition, the leak by itself is a bit sketchy, as it only contains specifications that are widely expected for the Galaxy S9. Then again, if the specs sheet really did come from Samsung or one of its suppliers, it at least confirms some of the things that we know about the Galaxy S9.

Other Samsung Galaxy S9 Rumors

If the Galaxy S9 does make its first public appearance in January at CES 2018, many expect the Galaxy S9+ to also be at the annual trade show. Rumors, however, claim that there will be a third model, namely the Galaxy S9 Mini. While the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will have screens that measure 5.8 inches and 6.2 inches, respectively, the Galaxy S9 Mini display size is expected to be below 5 inches.

Galaxy S9 benchmark scores spotted online shows that the smartphone will not be able to match up with the performance of the iPhone X, though the scores may still change by the time Samsung launches the device.

Another rumor claims that the Galaxy S9 will have at least one thing that the iPhone X does not offer: a purple color option.
