Step aside, Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox, Hollywood's newest gal pals are here, and they roll without fear or favor.

Yes, new-found best friends Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence have been working on a screenplay. No, it's not going to be a "Trainwreck"-ified spoof of "The Hunger Games."

Schumer, upon receiving the Charlie Chaplin Award for excellence in comedy went on a quick interview to discuss a few details about the script, as well as her budding BFF-ship with Lawrence.

"We just finished a new draft, and we're just excited about it," the 34-year-old comedian shared. "It's funny, it's dirty, it's real. It's like us."

A few months back, during one of her promotional stints for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2," Lawrence spilled the beans on the upcoming collaboration.

"We play sisters," said Lawrence. "We're almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We've got about 100 pages right now."

Lawrence apparently feels the same for her soul sister, when it comes to creative matters.

"Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It's been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up," the Hunger Games star shared.

Lawrence revealed that she only met Schumer earlier this year, after watching the latter's comedy film, "Trainwreck."

Lawrence then got in touch with Schumer.

"I emailed her after I saw 'Trainwreck' and said, 'I don't know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I'm in love with you," Lawrence explained. "We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting."

Texting apparently turned into jet skiing, as Schumer invited Lawrence for a trip in August.

The Internet, of course, exploded with the photos of the newfound gal pals.

"Jennifer is a great writer," Schumer said in another interview. "She doesn't play by the rules. She can be out there in a really cool way where you thought that you understood a scene and then she'll just kind of turn it. She's great."
