With great rapping skills, comes great responsibility.
The former applies to Kanye West and Jay Z, the latter to rueful managers of the hotel where the rappers chose to make their stay.
A report recently disclosed the mid-tour hotel requests, or more accurately, the demands of the stars, retrieved from the leaked list of a hotel rider.
We shall divide (and conquer) this backbreaking, manager-depressing, hotel staff-grieving list in three parts: background, booze and babies.
Background
The suite life is anything but sweet for staff who need to comply with the stars' stipulations.
Jay Z requires a maintained temperature of 71 degrees in his room. In addition to that, the space must also come with Mayan tuberose scented candles.
These candles claim to be a "luxury for the sense" by fusing "the art of floral design with the science of fragrance." They are 3.5 inches tall and 3 inches wide and have a burn time of 50 hours.
After setting the temperature and providing the abovementioned candles, hotel staff must also remember the following no-no's: first, do not vacuum near Jay-Z's room, and second, do not ask for concert tickets so as to "avoid embarrassment."
Kanye West, on the other hand is more inclined towards geometric preferences. Vases contained in the room must follow a cylindrical shape. His bathroom demands entail minty floss and black towels. Complementary breakfast? Kashi Go Lean cereal.
Also, the 2020 presidential candidate requires the hotel staff to provide a Genelec 1031A Studio Monitor. Unfortunately, this item was in production only between 1991 and 2005. Happy hunting!
Booze
West has a "grocery list" for the hotel, says the report, approximately 13 bottles (three of which are Hennessy Paradis Rare Cognac), amounting to more than $3,000.
If you think that's crazy, check out Jay Z's demand: Ace of Spades Champagne. Not crazy enough? Here's the catch – the artist stipulates that he cannot be charged for it because he owns the company.
Enough said.
Babies
Surprisingly, Kanye has no demands for his child North, whom he had with reality TV star Kim Kardashian. The two are expecting another child this December.

On the contrary, Jay Z's request just might make up for Kanye's absence.
For his daughter with superstar Beyoncé, named Blue Ivy, Jay Z insists that the entire room be childproofed. All corners, sharp edges and electrical outlets should be properly covered, while breakable objects such as lamps and statues must be taken out. Blue Ivy also only drinks organic whole milk.

After the entire list has been disclosed, we can only imagine a sweaty, distressed hotel staff, about to come apart, smiling and (against all logic) asking, "Would that be all then?"
