It's never a good thing when the quality of your wearable tech device comes down to solely your Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection.

To stay connected in more places, Android Wear has announced that its bringing cellular support to all of its smart watches. This means that users will no longer have to worry about Bluetooth or Wi-Fi for their watch, as the device will automatically switch to a cellular connection when they're out of range. As long as your watch is connected to a cellular network, you'll be able to use it to make and take calls, send and receive messages, track fitness, run apps and get answers from Google.

As part of its announcement Wednesday, the company declared that the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE will be the first Android Wear watch with cellular support with others to follow.

"The next time you're running an errand or a marathon, try leaving your phone behind," Android wrote on its official blog to make the announcement. "With calling, messaging, and thousands of apps right on your wrist, you'll always be able to stay in touch and on track. Say goodbye to bulky pockets and awkward armbands: cellular support for Android Wear lets you wear what you want."

The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE is a good testing ground, considering its several functions. Customers can now purchase the watch from AT&T and Verizon.

Android Wear with cellular support now makes them some of the more strong smart watch and overall wearable tech choices out there.

Let's see how this announcement affects Android's sales over the holidays.
