Soccer hottie. Husband to former Spice Girl and now fashion mogul Victoria Beckham. And hands-on father to four children. David Beckham can now also officially add "Sexiest Man Alive" to his list of titles.
People Magazine unveiled the award for the soccer superstar on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Nov. 17.
Beckham said he had never felt that he was attractive, but he gratefully accepted the honor of being crowned People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2015. The publication is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the recognition this year.
"I like to wear nice clothes and nice suits and look and feel good, but I don't ever think of myself that way," Beckam said.
After revealing that he only saw the cover an hour prior to his interview with Jimmy Kimmel, he proceeded to thank his parents, hairdresser, stylist and Photoshop.
The British sports icon revealed that his wife, Victoria, congratulated him for snagging the title but that he received more teasing from their kids.
"We kind of laughed about it with the boys and the boys kind of laughed at me and said, 'Really?! Sexiest man alive? Really?" he recounted.
Beckham also said that earning the title was the best moment of his career and that he still couldn't believe that he was actually crowned with it, which was passed onto him by "Thor" himself, Chris Hemsworth, who won the title in 2014.
Some of the top contenders for the 2015 title included "Luther" star Idris Elba, Chris Pratt and Matt Damon.
On Nov. 17, People Magazine announced that Kimmel would be revealing and interviewing whoever won the title, also posting teasers and sneak peeks on its Instagram account like the one below:
