The Apple Pencil is one of the best things about the newly released iPad Pro. It allows users to scribe on the device, but how well can the Pencil hold up in a stress test? Since this is an Apple product, it should hold up just fine, right?

Apple made a weird design choice by adding the Pencil's charging port at the bottom of the iPad Pro. When the user plugs the Pencil into the port, it just sticks out like a sore thumb. The whole thing looks odd and out of place, and that's because it is.

YouTuber Zach Straley created a video that highlights the problems some iPad Pro users might face. According to Straley, he bought the last available Apple Pencil from the Apple Store and decided to put it under a severe stress test.

The moment he plugged the Pencil into the Thunderbolt port below the iPad Pro, it was clear things were not going to end well for the Pencil or the egos of millions of diehard Apple fans.

Straley began by wiggling the Pencil while it was in the port. He twists and turns it to the point where he said he heard something cracking. Strangely enough, the Pencil could easily bend without much force, which is surprising. Sometimes the Pencil will pop out of its port, but it all depends on the force used.

From this video, owners of the iPad Pro should realize that charging the Pencil from the device itself is not a good idea. Well, it can be done, but the Pencil and the device itself need to be in a secure place.

At the end of the day, the Apple Pencil is very resilient. It took Straley quite a while to break the top of the Pencil despite all the problems highlighted from the beginning. When it comes down to breaking the Pencil in half, Straley failed. This proves that, apart from the charging style, this device is well-made.
