Just weeks ago, relatively unknown singer James Wright uploaded a YouTube video of himself literally singing the praises of R&B diva Patti LaBelle's sweet potato pies. By Thanksgiving Day, Wright was in the singer's house, pigging out on her homemade delectables, dancing, and even dueting with the singer-who made him hold a pie with her while doing it.

The Patti Pie saga appears to have had a truly happy ending, as videos of the two new BFFs spending Thanksgiving at Patti's house have quickly gone viral, with millions of viewers getting a peek at Patti's holiday menu and enjoying the singer trading verses with Wright on LaBelle's seminal 1970 hit "You Are My Friend", which couldn't be a more fitting theme for the celebration

Thanksgiving Day, coincidentally, was also Wright's birthday, so Patti presented him with a huge cake, serenaded him with "The Birthday Song" and presented him with a $7000 Louis Vuitton duffle bag that she announced the pie-loving crooner will surely need "because James is going to be a world traveler." LaBelle could certainly afford to splurge on Wright's gift, as her "new angel's" viral video famously led her pies to a complete sell out at Walmart, with thousands of additional eager customers salivating as they await the next shipment in December.

Wright also posted a video of his humungous meal, which included two different types of macaroni and cheese, lamb, turkey, stuffing, yams, greens, and a slew of other goodies piled so high by James that the entire selection is just on the verge of toppling over. Not only can the man sing, but also he knows how to make himself a plate!

It's the Patti Pies, however, that took center stage in clips of the affair, and we're quite sure Labelle made certain of that. During her duet with Wright, each one of them holds an entire pie in hand for no discernable reason, besides the fact that numerous video cameras are rolling. It's clear that the 71-year-old Miss Patti has quickly caught on to the concept of a "viral video", and we wouldn't be surprised if an expansion of her dessert line into "You Are My Friend James Wright Birthday Cakes" is already in the works.
