In an interview published Dec. 10, Harrison Ford said that he cannot answer any questions with regard to the planned stand-alone Han Solo film targeted for release in May 2018 because he is not involved in the production of the film.

Even if Ford reprised his role in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," the spin-off film about Han Solo will revolve around his life prior to becoming the smuggler Luke and Obi-Wan met in the original 1977 "Star Wars" movie.

"Let's make them responsible for those questions you might think to ask me because I'm not involved," Ford said. However, he also said that he can still take on the role of Han if he was supposed to be in his mid to late 20's.

When reporters asked if he had any tips for whoever will be given the role of young Han, Ford directly said that he did not and will not. "I don't think it's about being like me," he said.

So what will the Han Solo spin-off focus in the humorous smuggler's life?

"I think the key here is that we are identifying an event or events in Han Solo's life that gives you some idea of who he is and why he is the character we have all grown to love," Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy said in another interview.

There's no need to worry, though, because the film will not be following the prequel's footsteps and going too far back into the past. "He'll definitely be probably in the high teens, low 20s... We're not introducing you to a 10-year-old Han Solo," Kennedy clarified.

"The Lego Movie" director duo, Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, have been tapped to direct Han Solo's stand-alone film with the screenplay written by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan. From the composition of the team alone, the Han Solo film already looks promising and, as Kennedy predicts, entertaining and funny.
