As Sonos announced this morning on its blog, the Apple Music beta is now available via its app as of Dec. 15 — exclusively for subscribers who signed up to test it out.

Registered users who own Sonos speakers will receive a three-month beta trial for Apple Music, with the aim to add a unique listening experience to the app that was first announced earlier this year at WWDC 2015, and subsequently launched this past June.

Through Apple, users can access over 30 million songs on demand for $9.99 a month, or $14.99 for the family plan, which allows multiple users to plug in at once. But with the Sonos Apple Music beta, subscribers can use Sonos' high-quality smart speakers to blast tunes in any given room (or, depending on how many speakers you own, all of them). Users will be able to specially share customized playlists with other Sonos users, and with the Apple Music family pack, they can add up to six people on the account with Sonos.

In the post, Sonos CEO John MacFarlane stated he was "excited" for the collaboration between the two companies, and lauded Apple's music app as a "fantastic service."

The company plans to use the beta period to fine-tune and tweak the service.

"Because it's a preview, we know there are areas we'll need to improve, and we'll continue to do so throughout the beta," added MacFarlane.
