While there are many Windows-powered tablets available in the market, Samsung is rumored to launch its own Windows 10 tablet in 2016.

The upcoming Samsung tablet (SM-W700) is estimated to get a 12-inch Super AMOLED screen with a display resolution of either 2,560 x 1,600 or 3,840 x 2,400 pixels. An Intel Core M processor and 4 GB of RAM may power the device.

The SM-W700 may also include an S Pen, which will make it compete directly with Surface Pro tablets. The Samsung tablet is estimated to weigh only 600 grams, or 1.3 lbs.

The iPad Air 2 has a starting price tag of $499. If rumors are to be believed, Samsung's Windows 10 tablet will cost about $455.

iPads have a big fan following and the popularity of the tablet has led Apple to launch the larger iPad Pro, which has a 12.9-inch display and a premium starting price of $799. The iPad Pro may attract many tablet users but Windows 10 tablets are also gaining popularity slowly but steadily.

It remains to be seen if Windows-powered tablets can affect iPad's market share in the coming months.
