When it comes to exclusives, Sony came up a bit short in 2015. It's not as if there weren't any decent games to play - it's just that, compared to previous years (especially around Christmas), Sony's 2015 was a bit lacking.

That being said, it looks like Sony is well aware of this, and is actively trying to fix things. The PlayStation 4 is home to nearly two dozen exclusive games and console debuts in 2016, and Sony wants you to know about it - the publisher just released a video showing off all of the PlayStation 4's confirmed console and timed exclusives. Truth be told, it's a pretty impressive list to start the year off with.

Usually, when a company throws something like this together, they have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to pad out the run time. Not Sony: each and every one of the titles in their first 2016 promo are worth getting excited about, from Uncharted 4: A Thief's End to Street Fighter V to No Man's Sky...and that's just the start:

There's quite a bit coming to the PlayStation 4 this year, even if some of the games aren't technically full exclusives. Some of the games, like No Man's Sky and Street Fighter V, are console exclusives - meaning they'll show up on PC as well, while others will make their way to the Xbox One later on.

The full list of games is as follows:

• Alienation
• Boundless
• Drawn to Death
• Dreams
• Firewatch
• Gran Turismo Sport
• Gravity Rush 2
• Hellblade
• Horizon: Zero Dawn
• The Last Guardian
• Nier Automata
• No Man's Sky
• Paragon
• Ratchet and Clank
• Shadow of the Beast
• Street Fighter 5
• The Tomorrow Children
• Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
• What Remains of Edith Finch
• The Witness

The only entry on the list that feels somewhat out of place is Media Molecule's Dreams beta, but it makes sense that Sony would want to include the latest game from one of its most popular studios...even if it's just a beta test.

Again, there's quite a bit of content headed to the PlayStation 4 - and there's always a chance that E3 2016 will hold a few holiday season surprises...

Sony's first big exclusive of the year, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, is due out on April 26.
