Fans around the world are already gearing up for 2016's "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," and now we are starting to get a better picture of what director Zack Snyder has in store for the Dark Knight. It didn't take very long into the production for a picture of Ben Affleck on the set as billionaire Bruce Wayne to leak. Spies are all over the production and reports seem to be flowing in more steadily. Here's the latest image:

The tweeted photo of Bruce Wayne reveals an older Batman that has grey at his temples. Right away this will pique fans' curiosity as to just what kind of Batman we are going to be seeing. The following is a report that was posted on BadassDigest.com. Be warned: there may be some spoilers ahead.

"My sources indicate that when BvS opens Batman has existed for close to thirty years, which would place Wayne in his 50s (which is why I expected more grey in Affleck's hair). In this version Batman is still an urban legend, a creature of the night, and no one has ever taken his picture. But he's had plenty of adventures, and the Batcave includes a memorial centered around a tattered Robin costume," says Devin Faraci of badassdigest.com.

These clues seem to point us in the direction of a "Dark Knight Returns" Batman that has a long history in Gotham City. The report also details that Wonder Woman has been operating for quite a long time. However, like Batman, the Amazonian princess has kept her activities under the radar. This is most definitely not the Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan Batman that we are used to seeing.

Even though it is almost two years away, the release date has not discouraged people from feasting on every last detail that breaks. Remember, this massive production is slated to be the precursor to an even bigger "Justice League" movie. It is interesting to see the progression of the production as Snyder and his team are knee deep in superhero lore.

While some fans have voiced their concerns about Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, the masses seem to be okay with what has leaked out thus far. Surely the costumed pic of Affleck and a shot of the Batmobile has helped the production build some positive buzz.
