LG is expected to challenge Samsung and its next-generation flagship Galaxy S7 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February. The LG G5 will be announced on Feb. 21 but its HTTP User Agent Profile has already leaked, revealing some of the smartphone's key specs and model number.

With the MWC 2016 set to kick off on Feb. 22, two of the biggest smartphone manufacturers are going to unveil their next-generation 2016 flagship handsets before the date. Samsung will launch the successors to the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge in the form of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge at an Unpacked event that has been scheduled for Feb. 21.

Samsung is expected to bring back a popular feature that was dropped from the Galaxy S6 series. Users will once again be able to expand the smartphone's internal memory via a microSD expansion slot, but shouldn't expect to see the return of a removable battery. The battery omission appears to be something LG is going to highlight when it launches the LG G5 on the same day as Samsung's event.

The HTTP User agent details for the LG G5 have hit the Web ahead of the smartphone's official launch. The listing confirms the LG G5's model number of LG-H830 and also reveals it will be released running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The LG G5 is expected to feature a first-of-its-kind modular all-metal design that will include a "drawer method." This will allow users to slide out the bottom of the smartphone's case and have access to the 2,800 mAh user replaceable battery, which has become a rarity in the smartphone market.

The LG G5 will use a 5.3-inch quad-HD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440, in addition to a secondary ticker display like the one found on the LG V10. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU and 3 GB of RAM.

The LG G5's camera capabilities will reportedly consist of a high-end 16-megapixel rear camera with laser focus and dual-LED flash and a 7-megapixel front-facing shooter for video chat and selfies.
