The Sundance Film Festival kicked off in Park City, Utah, on Thursday where lucky attendants will get to see the debut of what may be some of the most buzzed about films this year. These include Southside With You about the young Barack and Michelle Obama, James Franco's Goat, about the fraternity hazing of a gay man, and Love & Friendship, based on an unpublished novella by Jane Austen.

And even though us common folk won't be attending the prestigious film festival, that doesn't mean we won't be able to experience some of the content.

Users are now able to watch content from the Sundance Film Festival in virtual reality starting today using the Sundance VR App created by IM360, as well as on the Samsung Gear app Milk VR.

The Sundance VR app features a total of 13 entries available to watch until Feb. 12, which isn't the complete lineup, but still enough virtual reality content to prevent users from having the fear of missing out.

This includes four titles from the virtual reality studio and distributor Wevr includes titles like musician and comedian Reggie Watts' Waves about a dream-within-a-dream, Irrational Exuberance by indie game developer Ben Vance, theBlu: Encounter that features a close encounter with the largest creature on the planet, and Hard World for Small Things abot police encounters with unarmed men and women.

"Each of these four projects exemplifies the high quality production and collaboration Wevr's studio looks for when partnering with independent filmmakers for the next truly brave virtual reality experience," Anthony Batt, co-founder and executive vice president of Wevr said in a press release. "From the witty, intergalactic voyage with Reggie Watts, to the surprisingly empathetic theBlu: Encounter, we're proving that virtual reality can be a transformative medium for any genre."

Other titles include Stonemilker, starring the musician Björk; and the Ebola documentary Waves of Grace.

While the content is only available for a couple of weeks, users will then be able to catch them again when they are released for other events to celebrate the Sundance New Frontier program's 10th anniversary.

New Frontier released a few virtual reality films last year, but as VR continues to be recognized as an artistic medium, the Sundance Film Festival will feature much more content this year, inlcuding three feature films, along with one live  performance and 11 installations.

The 2016 Sundance Film Festival takes place between Jan. 22 and Feb.1.
