Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy reunite along with other "X-Men" in the new short, but jam-packed with action teaser for the upcoming movie, “X-Men: Apocalypse” during one of the commercial breaks at Super Bowl 50. In the new movie, all of the mutants must go to war against the ancient and immortal, Apocalypse, who aims to destroy them all.

The trailer was only 30 seconds long, but in it we get a glimpse of Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Ben Hardy as Archangel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, and others.

Oscar Isaac steals the show as the seemingly unstoppable Apocalypse as he pins down McAvoy's Professor Xavier in his mansion home turned School for Gifted Youngsters, the X-Men's headquarters.

“Everything they've built will fall!” exclaims the awakened Apocalypse who was worshipped as a god in ancient earth history. "And from the ashes of their world we'll build a better one,” he continues in an unaired portion of the teaser which may be viewed on YouTube.

Indeed, the new “X-Men” movie looks like it's taking a much darker turn than the previous movies that director Bryan Singer has helmed.

Unlike previous movies, which mostly pitted humans against mutants, Apocalypse is a villain who does not distinguish between them and only believes that the strong should inherit the earth. He was the first mutant in Marvel's "X-Men" Universe and has been newly awakened after thousands of years. He enlists the most powerful mutants to help him in this total cleanse of civilization: Magneto, Psylocke, Archangel, and Storm. He calls these four mutants his horsemen.

“X-Men: Apocalypse,” will be the last of Singer's "X-Men" reboot trilogy and will open in theatres on May 27.
