If you are on the lookout for a great deal on an Android smartphone offering premium performance and specs, the Google Nexus 5X is now available on eBay for only $269.99 – the lowest price so far for this new Nexus phone.
When Google started hitting the shelves last October, the 16 GB version of the Nexus 5X carried a price of $379. It appeared, however, that it was still a bit pricey for some consumers.
Google and third-party retailers then began slashing the price of this phone to lure more consumers to buy the handset and to compete well with other equally good midrange smartphones in the market, such as the Honor 5X (which has a $199.99 price tag) and the OnePlus X (which only costs $249).
If you are interested in the deal, you should know that seller yapper_wireless is only offering a limited number of Nexus 5X units, so don't expect it to last for a long time. Do note as well that the deal is for the 16 GB U.S. variant of the Nexus phone and you have two color options to pick from, Quartz or Carbon. The seller says the offer comes with a year of manufacturer warranty and free shipping.
Just a quick reminder about the phone's most notable features and specs under its hood: the Nexus 5X comes fitted with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. This phone sports a 5.2-inch screen with a 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution. It has a 12-megapixel camera and it rocks a fingerprint reader on its back. Needless to say, Nexus 5X runs Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Prior to the holiday shopping season in December, Google Store, Amazon, Best Buy and B&H offered the Nexus 5X at a reduced price. The 16GB model was sold for $329 and the 32 GB variant was offered for $379, which means, buyers of the phone during the time received a $50 discount.
During the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping holidays, the Nexus 5X also received an $80 discount, driving down the price of the 16 GB variant to $299 while the 32 GB model to $349.
