The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will be released worldwide on March 11. Some lucky T-Mobile customers who preordered the smartphones have already received shipping notices and delivery estimates as early as Feb. 29.

With the launch of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Samsung has pleased many of the critics who blasted the company's removal of features from last year's flagship Galaxy S6 and S6 edge due to the new metal and glass case. These features included a microSD expansion slot, removable battery and waterproof case.

We reported back in November that the company was planning on bringing back microSD expansion slots to both smartphones. In January, reports surfaced that claimed the devices would also include waterproof cases, just like 2014's flagship Galaxy S5. Samsung validated those reports when it unveiled the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge and while the handsets don't include a user replaceable battery, both devices pack in significantly larger batteries than the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.

All four major U.S. carriers have already started taking preorders for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge with the devices said to be delivered on March 11, Samsung's worldwide scheduled release date. If you ordered your Galaxy S7 or S7 edge from T-Mobile, you may be getting your smartphone well before then.

DroidLife is reporting that several readers have notified the site that T-Mobile has begun to send emails with shipping notices that their Galaxy S7 or S7 edge has already shipped. Some readers are also reporting that tracking information from UPS shows the smartphones will be delivered as early as Feb. 29 by end of day.

It's not uncommon for some carriers to deliver devices a few days before an advertised release date, as we've seen high-profile devices like Apple's iPhone make it to customers' doorsteps a day or two ahead of schedule, but more than 10 days in advance is rare. So far, there's no word on Verizon, AT&T or Sprint shipping their Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 edge preorders early but we'll keep you posted if they do.
