It is a good day for PlayStation 4 players, as the acclaimed Heavy Rain title joins Beyond: Two Souls on Sony's latest console.

Fans of Heavy Rain might have played the game on PlayStation 3, but that variant does not hold a candle to the new and improved version. Developers at Quantic Dream tout that the work is reason to be "exceptionally proud," as the critically acclaimed thriller done in film noir style looks and feels better than ever on the latest PlayStation ecosystem.

Quantic Dream and PlayStation keep the good news coming.

Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls can be purchased via PlayStation Store for $29.99 each, or you can get both of them in a bundle that costs $39.99.

Rumors of the two titles arriving to PS4 surfaced in autumn last year, and it is good to see them turn into reality.

As a quick reminder, the PlayStation 3 variant of Heavy Rain scored three BAFTA awards. The narrative arc follows Ethan's the dramatic story, where he desperately searches for his missing son. It is up to you to decide how far he goes to accomplish his goal.

The ones who help Ethan in his quest are photojournalist Madison Paige, Agent Norman Jayden of the FBI and Detective Scott Shelby. The main antagonist is the Origami Killer, who the four heroes need to track and subdue.

"We have focused on improving the graphical fidelity of Heavy Rain on PS4, says Guillaume de Fondaumiere, co-CEO at Quantic Dream. Among the improvements made were lighting on objects and scenes, reflections, shadow mapping and increased resolution.

He goes on to add that Heavy Rain's music comes from composer Normand Corbeil, who was in charge of the entire composition and orchestration of the title's sounds before passing away in 2013. Quantic Dream hopes that the players will appreciate the "subtle and highly emotional score."

The developer adds that the positive response that Beyond: Two Souls got after its PS4 release was touching. It further notes that players who already purchased Beyond: Two Souls for PS4 can get a discount on PS Store for the Heavy Rain PS4 version, and directs interested gamers to the official PlayStation Store for more information.
