Xiaomi has commenced the rolling out of its MIUI 7.2 update into its second batch of devices.

Just a few days ago, news about Xiaomi starting to push out MIUI 7.2 update to first batch of devices has dominated headlines. The first batch who were treated with the update included Mi 4S, Mi 5, Mi 4c, Mi Note Pro, Redmi Note 4G (Single SIM), Mi Pad 1 and Redmi 1S.

Now, Xiaomi has added in quite a few new devices to its supported list. The list now incorporates these devices: Mi 3, Mi Note, Mi 4, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Mi Pad 2, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3, Redmi Note 4 (Dual SIM), Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi 2 and Redmi 2A.

If you own a Xiaomi device which belongs to the second batch, an OTA alert will soon arrive. However, those who do not want to wait for it may head to the MIUI website to manually download the update package.

The MIUI 7.2 offers performance enhancement along with a slew of bug fixes. Xiaomi also crammed handy, new features, such as fingerprint payments plus anti-theft (remote erase).

In a related Xiaomi news, Tech Times reported a few days ago that Xiaomi has sold 4 million units of its most recent flagship smartphone, the Mi 5, during its first flash sale in China.

In the said event, 16.8 million consumers registered for this Xiaomi's big event.

While the phone maker pushed out millions of units for the first flash sale, the total number of units it made available for the said event was apparently not enough to give every single customer the chance to get hold of the phone.

Xiaomi, though, has promised to do its best to deliver its device to consumers. In fact, it has already asked Inventec and Foxconn, the company's manufacturing partners, to boost their productions.

At the moment, Mi 5 is still available in China; however, Xiaomi plans to make its flagship smartphone available in the United States anytime next year.

It's not surprising why the device is selling like hotcakes in China, as it boasts impressive specs and features under its hood.

At any rate, there's a big chance the Xiaomi Mi 5 will make a big splash in the United States market the moment it will already be made available.
