New images of HTC's next-generation smartphone have leaked. The photos show the handset's chamfered metal case, UltraPixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, 5.1-inch Quad HD display and physical home button/fingerprint scanner.
Samsung and LG have already unveiled their 2016 flagship smartphones and Samsung has already released its Galaxy S7 and S7 edge on all major U.S. carriers. LG recently announced that all major U.S. carriers and retailers like Best Buy would begin selling the LG G5 in early April.
Now that Samsung and LG have made their new flagship smartphones official, smartphone fans are waiting for HTC to unveil its next-generation smartphone and HTC One M9 successor, the HTC 10. We recently reported that the launch of the HTC 10 could possibly take place on April 19.
The HTC 10 has already leaked in the form of press renders, which show the smartphone from all angles and now a leaked set of images show the smartphone in the wild.
New images of the HTC 10 (One M10) were posted to Disqus and one shows the smartphone's 5.1-inch Quad HD display, physical home button/fingerprint scanner and capacitive buttons. Another image shows the smartphone from the rear, including its chamfered edge metal case and UltraPixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and laser autofocus sensor.
The HTC 10 (One M10) may feature a 5.1-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with 2,560 x 1,440 resolution with a pixel density of 570 pixels per inch (ppi). A Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor powers the device. The handset will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, updated version of HTC Sense 8.0 and 4 GB of RAM to provide a snappy user experience. It will reportedly be offered in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants and include a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 200 GB.
The HTC 10 is believed to pack in a 12-megapixel UltraPixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), laser autofocus, dual-LED flash and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for video chats and selfies. The handset is rumored to include a large 3,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support.
