Get ready for one heck of a night because "Saturday Night Live!" has announced that Peter Dinklage will host the comedy sketch show on April 2 for the first time. Gwen Stefani is also coming on board as the episode's musical guest so it should be a fantastic start to the month.

Dinklage made a short appearance in the comedy show's "Weekend Update" sketch as Drunk Uncle's brother-in-law, Peter Drunklage, whose Tumblr page is filled with regret. He has never been tapped to host until now, so it is a perfect opportunity for viewers to see more of the Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy award-winning actor's comedic chops.

If you missed Peter Drunklage in 2013, watch the clip below.

Dinklage's hosting of the hit NBC comedy sketch show is seen as a cross-promotion for the upcoming sixth season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" where he plays the smart and smart-talking Tyrion Lannister, who as of the last episode of Season 5, is working with Daenerys Targaryen in Mereen.

It would be fun for Tyrion to appear in a cameo in one of the sketches, or perhaps, take a dig at some of the things that happened in the previous seasons of "GoT." He can also take a dig at the Lannister house's unofficial motto: "A Lannister always pays his debts," with something like Dinklage's tweet below.

Another interesting thing that "SNL" could do with Dinklage is to come up with a sketch similar to what Seth Meyers did with Carice Van Houten's Melisandre in "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

With the cast of talented comedians that make up the show, it would be almost impossible to run out of ideas. "Game of Thrones" returns to HBO on April 24 and will see Tyrion back in Mereen and reunited with Lord Varys
