The just released Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is proving to be a hit with consumers and is reportedly outselling the Galaxy S7. For those looking to pick up an unlocked Galaxy S7 edge at a discount compared to carrier pricing, a new deal is offering the smartphone for $699.99.

When Samsung unveiled the the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge at Mobile World Congress 2015, more people were drawn to the unique dual-curved edge display found on the S6 edge and the smartphone received the conference's top award, "Best New Handset."

Samsung chose to use the same 5.1-inch display size on both the the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, and while the curved design of the S6 edge was popular, many felt its exclusive Edge Apps feature wasn't practical on a 5.1-inch screen.

It appears Samsung listened to the main criticisms it received with the release of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge and remedied most with the launch of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. The company resurrected the microSD expansion slot, made the new metal and glass smartphones both waterproof and dust-resistant, and addressed Edge Apps feeling cramped by increasing the Galaxy S7 edge's screen to 5.5-inches and made the UI panel larger compared to the S6 edge.

While U.S. customers can now pick up a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge on all major carriers, there haven't been any deals to score an unlocked Galaxy S7 edge, until now.

A new deal from eBay is offering an unlocked 32 GB Samsung Galaxy S7 edge for $699.99, which is well below AT&T's $794.99 and T-Mobile's $779.99 full retail price.

Some of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge's highlights are a 5.5-inch 2,560 x 1,440 Quad HD display, octa-core Exynos processor, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, and microSD expansion slot that supports up to 200 GB microSD cards.

The Galaxy S7 edge packs in a 12-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and large 3,600 mAh battery.

If you're interested in picking up the unlocked 32 GB Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, head over to eBay where you can purchase it for $699.99.
