Samsung's Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are water-resistant, yes, but they sure aren't waterproof.

However, that won't stop the Internet from taking it to the extreme. Since its release, Samsung's flagship duo has gone through all sorts of testing.

People have filmed and uploaded their videos of taking the S7 through multiple torture tests. Naturally, the phone rarely survives. The point is to take the device as a far as it can go, and that usually means ending up with an expensive brick of a smartphone.

So far, we've seen the typical drop test videos of the S7 and S7 Edge going head-to-head against Apple's iPhone 6S and 6S Plus (spoiler: Apple's metal-clad iPhones fare better than Samsung all-glass Galaxy phones).

The next person to take it to the next level is Max Lee on YouTube. The guy has been around for quite some time doing off-the-cuff reviews of Android devices and tutorials on how to root them.

This time, Lee set up a battle between Samsung and LG. No, not LG's G5, but rather, a battle between Samsung's Galaxy S7 and an LG washing machine. That's right, he took his Galaxy S7 and threw into the wash, along with what looks like the some clothing.

In the YouTube video's description, we're told that the Galaxy S7 is left in the washing machine for a full cycle of 45 minutes in the water. Does Samsung's flagship make it through this torture test?

"FYI, I almost had a heart attack making this video so please thumbs up thx!" says Max Lee.

Halfway through the video, Max has trouble finding his phone in the middle of all his (washed) clothes. He assumes that the S7's screen has shattered and is somewhere inside, broken into multiple pieces. Finally, he manages to find it.

At 80 times playback speed, Lee shows us in five minutes that Samsung's flagship Galaxy S7 with an IP68 protection rating does indeed make it out alive after getting washed with clothing in a washing machine made by LG.

Even though Max initially has problems with the fingerprint scanner on the smartphone's home button, it eventually starts working again. He connects to his Wi-Fi at home, and the phone starts sounding off with all the notifications he missed while the phone went in for a wash. The speaker works, the Wi-Fi works, and so does everything else on the phone, it seems.

It's quite shocking and is one of the few times where a device actually makes it out a-OK after such a torture test. Thanks to Max, we can all rest easy if ever we find ourselves forgetting our S7s in our jeans and throwing them in the washing machine. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is a survivor.
