Universal Pictures and fans of the "Back to the Future" film franchise worldwide celebrated "Back to the Future Day" on October 21. Now in 2016, Twentieth Century Fox is claiming April 26 as a special day for one of its most successful science fiction franchise, "Aliens."

The James Cameron-directed 1986 film is celebrating its 30th anniversary in July 2016 but April 26 has been chosen because of the colonized planet, LV-426, the home of the hostile Alien race. As part of the celebration, Twentieth Century Fox will launch a 24-hour celebration beginning with the ultimate trivia challenge to consumer product launches for the occasion.

"ALIEN DAY (#AlienDay426) to encompass a wide range of executions including nationwide screenings, never-before-seen consumer product activations and the kickoff of the ALIEN: Ultimate Trivia Challenge, allowing fans to test their ALIEN knowledge - with the chance to win memorable prizes every 42.6 minutes on Twitter," the official press release explains.

Fans who are interested to test their "Alien" anthology knowledge may pre-register their Twitter handle now at the #AlienDay426 website. Cool prizes are waiting to be won and one of the more remarkable prizes in store is a pair of Ellen Ripley's awesome Reebok Aliens Bug Stomper sneakers.

No wonder those aliens are drooling so much over it.

If you don't win the sneakers, you can always head to the Reebok store near you because it will also be available for purchase beginning April 26.

As part of the celebration, the studio also collaborated with toy and clothing manufacturers to make special edition merchandise for the "Alien" Anthology. Among these are the NECA and Funko figures, Dark Horse Comics and Titan Books and an audio drama from Audible, among others. Partner theaters will be screening an "Alien" and "Aliens" double feature as well. If you are interested in the screenings, take a look at the list of participating cinemas.
