Gamers have been tapping their thumbs to MLB the Show 16 for over three weeks now.

While the new installment of the series includes a host of new features — enough to keep gamers busy for well over three weeks — there was still one critical element of baseball missing. That was complete access to the minor league system.

As Forbes recently explained, the title offered as close to the actual rosters for all 30 Major League Baseball clubs upon its release, even sharpening their accuracy with updates thereafter. Still, there were some contractual limitations, as MLB the Show 16 couldn't offer some players.

For example, if a player had been under contract in the MLB but is now back in the minors, then he could be part of the game. However, if a player never touted any MLB experience to his name, then he wouldn't be featured in the game.

The latter created the void of not being able to include the hot, buzzworthy prospects that do so well in the minors that their names already carry weight in MLB circles. That all changed earlier this week, though, as OperationSports.com created a full minor league system for all 30 MLB teams, making them available as downloadable content (DLC) via MLB the Show 16's roster vault.

"Thanks to everyone who helped, going back to last year. Amazing team effort and I hope everyone enjoys them," OperationSports user RidinDwnKingsley wrote on the website.

As part of the announcement, the gaming community vowed to update the minor league rosters regularly, so that they're never left lagging behind and they're as true to the real system as possible.

"We will update these regularly and Willard and his guys will also release a Hybrid version so watch for that," RidinDwnKingsley continued. "Keep following me here and on Twitter for info on updated versions."

To download the minor league rosters, search RidinDwnKingsley's username on the PlayStation 4 vault under #OSFM V1.

The best part about this feature is if a team calls up a stud prospect, as the New York Mets did with Michael Conforto last year, you can do the same in the game on the same day the actual club does in real life.

We'd call this the grand slam of DLC.
