Google rolls out three new features to Inbox by Gmail for the Web and mobile, making things easier for everyone to organize files and whatnot.

Thanks to the added capabilities, users can now stay on top of calendar events and newsletters and even save links of articles they want to read at a later time.

"Starting today, you'll discover three new experiences in Inbox – streamlined events, glanceable newsletters and saved links – that help you better keep track of things that matter to you and feel more in control," Google says.

Google Calendar Events

Every email linked to a Calendar event will now be bunched together along with others that are related, providing a comprehensive overview of everything at a tap of a button.

This is arguably the most interesting feature out of the three, not to mention that it uses technology based on what Google applies for Trip bundles.

Newsletters

Browsing and reading newsletters on Inbox is now a cinch, as the email client will now show a preview of the latest stories of the online digests that users are subscribed to.

For now, only the most popular newsletters are supported, but Google says it's working on adding more in the foreseeable future.

Save Links

Inbox is no longer just for emails and newsletters because it can now be used to save links as well. Similar to other read-it-later apps for Android or iOS, users will simply have to share a link to the app to store it.

As for the Web version, users will have to install and use the new Chrome extension to keep every link all in one place for later reading on the desktop.

What this means is that it looks like Google is aware of how a lot of people send emails to themselves to save links, and it's giving all of them a helping hand.

Long story short, this update is one of many measures that Google is taking to make Inbox more efficient for everyone.
