Twitter is up and about in cutting down the number of abusive users on the platform, releasing a new tool that can help with that problem.

The social media company has been pushing efforts to make reporting easier for years now, and with the latest add-on this time around, users can now flag multiple tweets to report them simultaneously in one go.

"Behavior that crosses the line into abuse is against our rules and we want it to be easy for you to report it to us. So, today we're introducing an improvement to our reporting process: the ability to attach multiple Tweets to a single report," Hao Tang, a safety engineer at Twitter, says.

According to Twitter, it wants users to have a convenient and efficient way of letting it know of offensive tweets, resolving them and taking the appropriate measures to deal with them as soon as possible.

For the record, the feature is rolling out across the Web, Android and iOS.

Of course, Twitter users already had the means to report abusive tweets and accounts previously, but they didn't have the option to attach the particular tweets of an account they're complaining about. That means the folks over at the company's safety department had to pinpoint the reported tweet — like searching for a needle in a haystack — or ask the users who filed the complaint for more info about it. Needless to say, that didn't get things done quickly.

It's also worth mentioning that plenty of users have been criticizing Twitter for taking it easy on the harassment issue on the platform, but at any rate, it has been gradually rolling out features that'll keep the abusers at bay, including this update.
