Owners of the LG G3 on two more of the nation's largest four carriers, AT&T and T-Mobile, are now able to access the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the smartphone. Verizon customers were treated to the update back in February, but users of the handset on Sprint will have to wait at least a little longer, as the software upgrade has still not been released for the network.

Both AT&T and T-Mobile customers can finally rejoice, as the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is now available on their LG G3 handsets. Frustrated users of the smartphone on those networks have been chomping at the bit for a taste of Marshmallow and its new features and performance upgrades ever since Verizon released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its customers months ago.

Carriers tend to prioritize new software upgrades according to the newness of the device, so the two-year-old former flagship had to wait in line behind more current smartphone Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrades, including that of last year's flagship G4 model, which has already been pushed to that device on all four carriers.

The AT&T Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is being rolled out over the air in phased fashion, but those who prefer not to wait can access the update manually via their device's settings menu. T-Mobile's Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is only available right now using LG's PC Suite software, and hasn't been officially announced by the carrier on its software upgrade page or rolled out OTA. If they haven't already, T-Mobile users will have to install the PC Suite software to access the update, although considering it is unofficially complete, it shouldn't be long before an official rollout begins.

The LG G3 Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade availability on both AT&T and T-Mobile leaves Sprint as the only carrier on which customers cannot access it. There's been no word from the carrier as to when it will arrive, but as always, we'll keep you informed as soon as Sprint's LG G3 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update becomes available.
