In a series of tweets using the "#Missing" hashtag, Motorola India takes a playful approach of teasing its upcoming smartphones. The tweets show people who are allegedly missing because of certain circumstances brought by the lack or the "disappointing" features of their handsets.

Motorola is preparing to host a big event on May 17, when it is expected to announce the upcoming Moto G4 and G4 Plus devices. Invitations to the event were already sent out in Mexico and New Delhi, but Motorola India is taking things to the next level as far as tweeting is concerned.

In some of the tweets, Motorola India stressed the need for better device security to protect one's browser history, and how a better battery can help prevent anyone from missing out on important life events such, as proposing to the girl that one likes.

Motorola India also tweeted on the inconveniences brought by a device that suddenly stopped working, which can be particularly annoying if it happens while playing a game.

Other "missing" themed tweets include how a better camera can prevent one from missing important milestones such as birthdays and other special occasions, how a better battery ensures spending uninterrupted time with a loved one and how users can enjoy better groupfie images with their handsets.

With all these messages, it's obvious that Motorola wants consumers to know that its upcoming handsets are designed to meet huge expectations while enhancing the user experience.

According to rumors, the Moto G4 will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display, an octa-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 13 MP camera and 16 GB of internal storage.

Some of these features will also be seen on the Moto G4 Plus, although this model might come with a better 16 MP rear camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset, a 3 GB RAM, and a fingerprint scanner on the handset's home button.

As for the design, the two handsets will reportedly come with metal frames while the rear will have a plastic build. At launch, the devices will come in Black and White hues and shall have rear covers that are interchangeable and in various color options.

Rumored price points for the handsets are $200 and $229 for the 2 GB RAM and 3 GB RAM variants of Moto G4, respectively. The Moto G4 Plus, with its premium specs, is expected to come at a premium price point as well.

Needless to mention, Motorola India's new teaser ads on Twitter do not feature actual missing persons. It's just a ruse to highlight how important smartphones have become, but the #missing hashtag may cause some confusion.
