Vans is no stranger to pop culture partnerships. The shoe company has teamed up with companies like Disney in the past, resulting in some seriously cool sneakers inspired by classic Disney animated films and even the mega franchise that is Star Wars.

This latest partnership is more than 30 years in the making. Vans is teaming up with Nintendo to deliver kicks inspired by some of the video game company's classic NES games, ranging from Legend of Zelda to Duck Hunt. Other classic games that will adorn the shoes include Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong. There will also be designs sporting Princess Peach and the NES controller itself.

According to Solecollector, the designs listed above and pictured below are just the ones announced so far, with even more designs likely to appear in the collection once they arrive in stores. The shoes will be available in both high-top and low-top styles, though gamers eager to snag a pair of these sneakers will have to wait until this summer for them to officially go on sale. If they are anything like the Star Wars Vans that were released back in 2014, expect each pair to set you back $60 to $70.

It's not too bad of a price to pay for some cool shoes, especially for those who can never have enough of Nintendo in their lives. The company inspires some serious loyalty and fanaticism among its fans, so no doubt gamers who love all things Nintendo will want to consider a pair of these sneakers when they go on sale. Expect the Legend of Zelda design to sell well among fans. After all, it is the 35th anniversary of the original game. You can check out some of the designs below.

Unfortunately, Nintendo fans won't be able to celebrate Legend of Zelda's birthday with a new game. Nintendo recently announced its long-in-development Zelda title for the Wii U has been delayed to 2017. The game will also be released for Nintendo's next console, code-named NX. The machine is set to launch in March 2017.
