Now is the best time to get the Motorola Moto 360 2nd Gen and Moto 360 Sport, as the smartwatches are now $50 cheaper at Verizon.

From now until the end of May, customers can snag the 46 mm Metal version for Men ($349.99), 46 mm Leather version for Men ($299.99), 42 mm Leather version for Men ($249.99), 42 mm Metal version for Women ($299.99) and the 42 mm Leather version for Women ($279.99).

The Moto 360 Sport is also available at $249.99, down from the original price of $299.99. This version comes with GPS tracking that allows users to monitor the total distance covered and pacing.

The Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch works with devices that run Android 4.3 or later and iPhone 5 or later models that run iOS 8.2 and higher.

It has a 300 mAh battery that can provide up to 1.5 days of mixed use with Ambient off. However, turning on the Ambient feature will allow up to a full day of mixed use. Users can also take advantage of the wireless charging capability with the charging dock that comes with every purchase.

Other notable highlights of the Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch include a heart rate sensor (optical heart rate monitor), ambient light sensor (for automatic adjustment of the screen to the surrounding brightness), IP67 dust and water resistance and Wi-Fi connectivity.

"Moto 360 features exclusive bands in stainless steel and genuine Horween leather, including a distinctive, double-wrapped leather design," says Motorola. "A new lug design and quick-release bands make it easy to swap your everyday band for something new."

All Moto 360 2nd Gen models and Moto 360 Sport are powered by Android Wear, which allows users to keep themselves up to date with their Gmail messages and calendar invites. Other Google services that they can enjoy include Google Hangouts and Google Maps.

Verizon is offering the Moto 360 2nd Gen and Moto 360 Sport smartwatches at lower prices since they are the carrier's accessory of the month. Customers can also get a number of bands for their smartwatch from $39.99 to $89.99 each.
