There are fans, and then there are "those" fans. You know the type. They're the ones that obsess over every detail of their favorite movie, TV show or video game, and wind up creating some truly incredible fan art in the process.

"Game of Thrones," and Minecraft are no stranger to this type of fan.

Both the "Game of Thrones" TV show and novels have spread like wildfire through pop culture over the last few years, and Minecraft has been a mega-hit with gamers for over five years. So, what happens when you combine the two?

Well, if you're one of "those" fans, you recreate the entirety of the Wall and Castle Black with tiny virtual bricks.

Built by the Chinese Minecraft group Cthuwork, Castle Black has been recreated in extreme detail, featuring a full town, the castle and the massive wall of ice. In "Game of Thrones," Castle Black is the bastion of the Night's Watch, a group of soldiers who protect and maintain the gigantic wall. While it's doubtful that the Minecraft map is full of tiny Jon Snows, the detail is incredible nonetheless.

According the Cthuwork's website, the build took over 15 hours to complete, including interior decoration and all of the tiny details. Considering the scope of the project, 15 hours doesn't seem like much, especially with the amount of detail that went into the Wall itself. Many players would have simply built a giant, flat wall out of ice blocks, but the fact that Cthuwork went to the trouble of realistically building the wall--with little crevices and everything--more than proves their dedication.

Cthuwork is not the only group of fans dedicated to recreating "Game of Thrones" in Minecraft. WesterosCraft is a "Game of Thrones" build group dedicated to recreating the entire continent of Westeros inside the game. Remember when Minecraft was just about punching trees?

In all honesty, the dedication of fans like Cthuwork and WestorosCraft is something to behold. The level of detail and effort these fans can put into their work, for no profit whatsoever, truly shows their love of both Minecraft and "Game of Thrones." To download the map for the PC version of Minecraft, the files can be found on Cthuwork's site.
