Several weeks ago, Nintendo fans across the globe were hit hard when they learned the upcoming The Legend of Zelda game for Wii U would be coming in 2017 and not later this year as most had expected.

Now, it looks like some of those discouraged fans will get the chance to play a part of Link's latest adventure as Nintendo just announced the TLoZ for Wii U will be playable at the Nintendo Store in New York City from June 14 through June 19.

In the announcement, Nintendo details how fans will be able get a chance to get in on this offer.

It all starts on Saturday, June 11, when 500 fans will be selected during a Super-Fan Signup Day. These chosen few will actually be the first 500 eligible people in line when Nintendo NY opens at 9 a.m. that day (fans can line up starting at 7 a.m. EDT and will require a Photo ID, while minors need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian). These 500 people will receive a wristband that can be exchanged for a ticket that guarantees them a spot to play the game during selected times from June 14 to 19.

The actual event, called The Legend of Zelda Experience, will begin at noon EDT on June 14, when fans will be invited to watch gameplay of The Legend of Zelda live-streamed from Nintendo's booth at E3 2016 to the 15-foot gaming screen inside Nintendo NY. This will be the world's first in-depth look at the game. Then, at 3 p.m. EDT, the fans will actually begin sampling the game for the first time.

For the remainder of the event, there will be group demos hosted by Nintendo representatives showing off the "extensive" Legend of Zelda demo. As an added bonus, several fans may actually be called up for a chance to play in guided demonstrations. Lastly, there will be some Legend of Zelda trivia that fans can participate in to win some prizes.

This certainly looks like an awesome chance to play the new Legend of Zelda game early, but just remember that you should arrive even before 7 a.m. to ensure that you get one of the first spots in line.

The Legend of Zelda is due out for Wii U and NX in 2017.
