Qualcomm's smartwatch, given the moniker Toq, is now available for pre-order.

The company has begun taking pre-orders for the black variant of the Toq, which is priced at $349.99.

"With the revolutionary Qualcomm Mirasol display technology, the Qualcomm Toq smartwatch delivers greater visibility to what you need to know, when you need to know it. Clearly visible even in direct sunlight and so power efficient that you can go multiple days between charges, Qualcomm Toq seamlessly delivers alerts, messages and updates from your AndroidTM smartphone to your wrist," notes the smartwatch's description.

Those interested in purchasing the smartwatch can pre-order it on Qualcomm's website. The device is expected to ship by December 2.

Toq was launched earlier in September this year and the pre-order package on Qualcomm's site includes Qualcomm WiPower LE wireless charger, AC Adapter & USB Cable, and Quick Start Guides, along with the Toq smartwatch.

For the uninitiated, the Toq smartwatch weighs 3.02oz and sports a 1.55-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a pixel density of 222 ppi and Qualcomm Mirasol: I.M.O.D. technology.

Toq's wristband size ranges from 6 inches to 8.7 inches. The smartwatch has a 240mAh battery that supports multiple days between charges. It supports Bluetooth 3.0 and requires Android 4.0.3 Jelly Bean and above preferably. The Toq smartwatch also has airplane and vibration modes.

"The Toq smartwatch showcases key Qualcomm innovations, such as Mirasol always on low power display, AllJoyn interactions and WiPower LE wireless charging, that will define the emerging wearable category," per Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, chairman and CEO of Qualcomm. "Like a traditional watch, Toq displays information at a glance with no on/off switch. And paired with a smartphone to receive notifications and content, it allows the watch to seamlessly merge our physical and digital lives. Leveraging these and other industry-leading technologies, we and our partners will enable new product opportunities and consumer experiences."

The smartwatch can connect wirelessly to your Android device and basic operations include syncing the smartphone's calendar, playing music, seeing messages and notifications and more.
