Pokémon fans will get even more details of the highly anticipated Nintendo 3DS titles Sun and Moon in a few days' time.
According to Siliconera, The Pokémon Company will release the new info at 10:00 p.m. JST on Aug. 1. To save everyone some time from going over the time zones, it's going to kick off at 6:00 a.m. PT, 9:00 a.m. ET and 2:00 p.m. BST.
As for what's exactly going to be unveiled, the developers have yet to outline the good stuff, but it's pretty much safe to assume that some new Pokémon and in-game features might headline the news — if it follows the trend of recent updates, that is.
To give an idea of how the upcoming reveal could turn out to be, Nintendo showcased six new Pokémon for Sun and Moon earlier this week.
In no particular order, there's Comfey, a Fairy type with the abilities Flowerveil and Triage; Mudsdale, a Ground type with Own Tempo and Stamina in his arsenal; Bounsweet, a Grass type with Leaf Guard and Oblivious moves to dish out in a battle; Bewear, a Normal/Fighting type with Fluffy and Klutz at its disposal; Wimpod, a Bug/Water type that can use Wimp Out and, the most interesting-looking one out of the bunch, Mimikyu, a Ghost/Fairy type that can use the Disguise ability.
The other big addition to the new generation that's sure to get the attention of trainers everywhere is Hyper Training, a feature that allows players to further increase the power of Pokémon that already maxed out their levels. This is a first for the franchise, and it's expected to unfold a whole new world of possibilities.
To boil things down, it's recommended to save the date and look out for any news from Nintendo to get a look at some new exciting goodies as soon as possible.
As a little refresher, Pokémon Sun and Moon are scheduled to hit the shelves on Nov. 18 in the United States and Nov. 23 in Europe.
On that note, Nintendo has also taken the wraps off special edition 3DS units, and one of them features the two new Legendaries Lunala and Solgaleo. To no one's surprise, the other one sports a Pikachu-inspired design, and interestingly enough, a poll back in June showed that the electric mouse is no longer the most popular Pokémon.
