Before taking the wraps off the highly anticipated iPhone 7, Apple is introducing another storage option on the iCloud: 2 TB worth of space for $19.99 a month.

The Cupertino brand quietly launched the new tier, and it's available across North America, South America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. Basically, it's up for grabs in every location where iCloud is offered.

To get a better idea of how much this is a bang for every Apple fan out there, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and PC users can technically avail it at the same price as Google Drive's 1 TB plan that costs $9.99 per month. On the other hand, it's a tad more expensive compared with Microsoft OneDrive's 1 TB service that holds back users by $6.99 on a monthly basis.

Rest assured that previous familiar options aren't going out the window, as the 50 GB for $0.99 a month, 200 GB for $2.99 and 1 TB for $9.99 are going to stay up. Also, for those who don't know, the default 5 GB of space at sign up for the service won't be getting a bump, according to the official support page.

Interestingly enough, the last time that Apple changed up the choices was back in September last year when it removed the 500 GB option and replaced it with the 1 TB one at the same $9.99 price. At the time, it was all about improvements across the board, and this time around, it's about increasing the variety.

In other storage news, a leak that indicates an upcoming iPhone 7 with 256 GB of storage made rounds a few days ago, and that means this recent development to the iCloud selection could be in preparation for the next iteration of the iPhone, which is expected to be revealed at the company's big event on Sept. 7 along with the iPhone 7 Plus, the Apple Watch 2 and many others.

To sum things up, Apple device owners and PC users now have another choice to consider when it comes to availing such service from the Cupertino-based company, not to mention that at $19.99 a month for that amount of space, it's one heck of an offer.
