The 2016 Honda Civic is one of the newest sedans in the market. Honda unveiled the 2016 Civic in September 2015 with sales starting in November 2015.

Here is what experts have to say about the 2016 Honda Civic.

The design of the new car appeals to people of all age categories.

"From a design perspective, the 2016 Honda Civic sedan is a mixture of sporty, edgy and youthful styling without being over the top. It's the sort of car that should appeal to buyers of all ages, although Honda admits that its aim is to attract a younger buyer to the new Civic, those that may not have previously considered the model," says Alborz Fallah of CarAdvice.

The interiors of the car have impressed many reviewers.

"The quality of the leather and plastics inside is top-notch for the segment, and the light gray leather seats use an appealing black accent strip down the middle. The available navigation system runs through a large, easy-to-read screen, which also serves as the control center for audio, CarPlay and climate control. This interior is so nice, it looks like it came out of a more expensive car," says Allyson Harwood of Kelley Blue Book (KBB).

The new 2016 Honda Civic offers a good driving experience.

"This car is a joy to wheel around town. It's solid and calm, like a bigger, more expensive car (the sticker is quite a bit lower than I was expecting). Body control is excellent, and I love this steering - nice and direct. Doors thunk shut like German cars used to, probably one reason I was surprised at the sticker," says Wes Raynal of Autoweek.

Honda has also stressed on the safety aspect in the latest Civic.

"The Civic Touring comes with modern safety tech (forward collision warning, road departure mitigation, etc.), thicker anti-roll bars and chrome outside door handles, but the new parking brake could be the item of most interest," says Benson Kong of MotorTrend.

The cabin of the 2016 Civic is quite roomy, providing comfort to its occupants.

"In the back seat, the Civic outperforms almost all the cars it names as rivals, and some others, too. There's enough head and leg room for 6-footers to sit behind 6-footers, with an inch of knee room to spare," says Marty Padgett of The Car Connection.

Although the 2016 Honda Civic has many positive aspects, some experts believe that some features are not up to the mark.

"The lower trim levels get the basic M-CVT, while the higher trims with the turbo engines get the newer LL-CVT as used in the Accord. The LL-CVT gives the best driving experience of any CVT on the market, avoiding the high-revving, rubber-band-driven feeling endemic with other CVTs. But it would still be nice to have the option of a 6-speed manual transmission with the 1.5-liter turbo engine," writes Jeff Zurschmeide for Digital Trends.

"A 7-inch touch screen comes standard in all trims but the base LX, and it includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for full-fledged smartphone functionality via the touch screen itself. Unfortunately, its slow response times, small buttons and confusing menu structure often make it frustrating to use," notes Edmunds.
