A slew of games across different gaming platforms have already launched in 2016. However, many more games are expected to be launched in October this year.

Here are some Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4) titles that are scheduled for an October launch.

Titanfall 2

The first-person shooter video game is developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. Just like the original Titanfall, which was released in 2014, players of Titanfall 2 will be able to control both the pilot and the Titans, which descend from the sky after a player has gained enough points.

Titanfall 2 will feature an improved single player campaign as well as an award-winning online multiplayer mode. The Attrition game mode will also return, which will allow gamers to team up with co-players. This mode continues until the last player is left standing.

The game will hit the shelves on Oct. 28 at a price tag of $59.99.

Battlefield 1

The first-person shooter video game is developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Similar to previous games in the franchise, the emphasis of the game is on teamwork. The game is inspired by historic events and players use weapons as used in World War 1.

Battlefield 1 will release on Oct. 21 and customers will have three different versions to choose from: Standard, Deluxe and Collector's edition, with a price tag of $59.96, $79.96 and $209.99 respectively.

Customers can also get bonus items when they preorder a copy of Battlefield 1.

"Preorder Battlefield 1 and get the Hellfighter Pack, containing themed items inspired by the heroic Harlem Hellfighter infantry regiment. Also includes 7 days early access to a map released later in 2016. Codes will be emailed to customers after release of game," says Amazon.

Dark Souls 3: Ashes Of Ariandel

Ashes of Ariandel will be the first DLC of Dark Souls 3. The expansion will include new items, spells, armor and weapons, which will allow players to battle new enemies and bosses. The DLC will also bring a new environment, which would be cold and full with wolves.

The DLC will be available from Oct. 25 onward. Customers have the option to purchase Ashes of Ariandel for $14.99 or buy the season pass for $24.99, which gives access to both upcoming DLCs. The second DLC is expected for an early 2017 release.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition

The Special Edition brings a number of new features to the game, including remastered art and effects, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth of field, screen-space reflections and more.

The Special Edition also brings new quests, characters, environments, armor, dialogue and weapons.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition will be available in stores from Oct. 28 onward. It is worth noting that the open-world action role-playing video game is not a patch and customers will have to pay $59.99 to buy a copy.
