Britney Spears posted an Instagram video of herself shaking it to a hot dance track, but it wasn't one of the new songs off of Britney's recently-released Glory album. Instead, Britney busts some moves to Meghan Trainor's summer hit "Me Too," and Trainor tweeted that watching Spears get down to one of her songs in the viral post was a dream come true.

Britney looks truly inspired in the Instagram clip, in which she shakes and wiggles to Trainor's track with considerably more gusto than she put into her own performance at the recent MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards). That performance, in which Britney sang the first single from Glory, entitled "Make Me," received a tepid reaction from fans and critics, partially due to the obvious awkward physical chemistry between the dance diva and her rapping partner in the song, G-Eazy.

Spears has also been making the promotional rounds for the collection, which has also resulted in some uncomfortable moments. In recent interviews, Britney only supported the widespread notion that she is out of touch by calling James Corden, with whom she recorded an awkward segment of "Carpool Karaoke," the viral video sensation from his late night talkfest The Late Late Show with James Corden, "the host" and "the guy," seemingly not even knowing the popular Corden's name.

Britney doubled down in another Q and A when questioned as to which three music producers she would most like to work with, by giving the names of three artists, none of whom were producers, including Gwen Stefani, her ex Justin Timberlake and the band Aerosmith, who she referred to as "He."

So, it's good that Spears now seems to have some sort of awareness of current pop culture by choosing to dance to the music of Meghan Trainor, one of the breakout music stars of recent note. "Me Too," which was released in May, was the second single from Trainor's second album Thank You. The video for the song created controversy when the famously plus-sized Meghan objected to photographic manipulation in the video intended to make her appear thinner. As a result, the entire video was pulled and replaced with a new one. The song ultimately peaked at number 13 on Billboard's Hot 100, a slight disappointment relative to some of her previous hits.

Now, it looks as if Britney has given the track new life, as her moves to the tune have already resulted in 2.6 million Instagram views. At least one of those views was by Trainor, who counts herself as one of Spears' biggest fans, and who tweeted a link to the Instagram post entitled,  "When all your dreams come true."
