Top electronic music duo The Chainsmokers has released a preview of their brand new song "All We Know." The tune, due to be released Friday, Sept. 30, is the follow-up to two smash summer hits by the group, "Don't Let Me Down," featuring Daya, and "Closer," featuring Halsey.

It's been a remarkable year so far for DJs and electronic music act The Chainsmokers. The duo, which consists of New York natives Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, hit it big on the pop charts and broke through as one of the most popular new artists of 2016.

The two had been working together for several years, mainly doing EDM (electronic dance music) remixes of songs by other popular artists, such as The Killers, The Wanted and Ellie Goulding. Their group crossed over into mainstream consciousness in 2014 with the hit original production "#Selfie," which cracked the top 20 on both the U.S. and UK pop charts.

"#Selfie," which featured tongue in cheek Kim Kardashian style vocals spoken over a house music beat, was written off by many as an annoying novelty record, but the group came back in early 2016 with the catchy hit "Roses," featuring vocals by singer Rozes, and the song cracked the top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 chart, peaking at No. 6.

The follow up to "Roses," "Don't Let Me Down" featuring vocals by Daya, was an even bigger smash this summer. It peaked at No. 3 in the U.S., No. 2 in the UK, and was one of the five most popular streaming songs of the summer according to both Billboard and Spotify, right beside tracks by huge pop stars by artists like Drake, Rihanna, Sia and Justin Timberlake.

Still, no one expected the massive reaction to their next song "Closer," which features vocals by singer Halsey along with those of Chainsmoker Taggart. The tune rocketed to the No. 1 spot in the U.S. and UK, and still remains there after six weeks atop Billboard's Hot 100 (where "Don't Let Me Down" still sits at No. 5) as well as leading the Streaming Songs.

It looks like The Chainsmokers are going to strike while the iron is hot, as they have just announced their plans to release their follow up to "Closer," titled "All We Know," this coming Friday. In anticipation of the new release, the duo has released a preview clip. The song seems extremely reminiscent of "Closer" in tempo and style and again features vocals by Taggart, this time trading vocals with Phoebe Ryan. While some were hoping for something a little fresher sounding from the group, they can't be blamed for sticking with what works. Head over to Billboard to check out the new track before its official release.
