Kim Kardashian is losing an estimated $300,000 each week that she stays off her social media accounts. The star has not posted to any of her many social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat since she was tied up and robbed at gunpoint in a Paris hotel earlier this month.

It's safe to say that Kardashian is a bona fide social media star, and that her popularity and brand fully center around her ubiquitous presence on the many social media platforms she inhabits.

That all ended abruptly when Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in a Paris hotel by masked men who tied her up and stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry from her.

Kardashian was said to be so traumatized by the incident that she pledged to pause all of her presence on social media while she recovered, with no date given as to when she would resume her posting. The filming of her popular E! TV series Keeping Up With The Kardashians was also halted in the wake of the crime.

Kardashian regularly posts on Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram.

Kardashian's losses due to her lack of social media presence are costing her a pretty penny however, with experts estimating them as potentially totaling in the millions.

The Blake Project's Derrick Daye believes Kardashian stopping her daily posts "could be measured in the hundreds of thousands."

Krishna Subramanian, cofounder of Captiv8, concurred — and it all depends on how often she pushes out social media content.

"If she was someone who was doing a sponsored post on a weekly basis that could be $300,000 a week," Subramanian, a brand expert, estimated, adding that the lack of posts won't necessarily hurt Kardashian in the long run, however.

"When you look at someone like Kim Kardashian who has the star power, not posting for a few weeks is not going to do anything to her audience," he said, pointing out that her fans will remain supportive.

"When she comes back and starts posting again, I don't see that hindering the family's wealth in any ways."

In addition to her earnings via social media and her hit TV series, the star also earns money from various product lines as well as her successful app.

While there's no official word on when Kardashian will resume posting, it could be sooner than expected, as it appears the famous sister has recovered to the extent that she has resumed filming her TV show for E!, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The network has just released a statement confirming: "Full production has resumed."
