Robbie Daymond, the voice actor of Final Fantasy XV's resident prankster and photographer Prompto, gave a special holiday gift to a young fan in the form of a personalized greeting.

The message, which was recorded by Daymond as Prompto, is very much in the running to be the most feel-good video game-related story for the holidays.

A Father's Request For His Daughter

The father of the young fan, a girl named Euphrates, posted about the gift on the Final Fantasy XV subreddit, wherein he narrated that he sent Daymond a message to ask for the voice actor's rate if he would have him record a short message as Prompto for his daughter.

"She's absolutely in love with Prompto and is always quoting him and laughing at anything he says," the father said, adding that Final Fantasy XV is the first game that pulled Euphrates away from other titles such as Roblox and Minecraft.

A couple of days after sending Daymond the message, the father received a message from the voice actor. However, what was included in the message was not the rate for the requested recording, but the finished holiday message itself.

Prompto Wishes Euphrates Happy Holidays

"Hey Frankie! Here is a special X-mas message for your daughter! Hope she enjoys it. Cheers!" wrote Daymond in his message to Euphrates' father, with the personalized message for the young fan attached to it.

In the message, Prompto wishes Euphrates a very Merry Christmas, followed by a mash-up of the famous Final Fantasy fanfare tune and the holiday song "Deck the Halls."

Euphrates' father surprised her with the message as soon as he received it, as the young Prompto fan was using the PlayStation VR. The father said that his daughter giggled and laughed upon hearing the message, but he soon found out that she was hiding happy tears under the headset.

The Story Behind Daymond And Prompto

Daymond has been a voice actor for several cartoon and video characters for more than a decade, with some of his more notable roles bring Myles and Evan from Transformers: Rescue Bots and Tuxedo Mask for the 2014 English dub of Sailor Moon.

However, Prompto has immediately become one of Daymond's most iconic characters. Prompto's charm and cheerfulness, or annoyance for some gamers, added spunk to the cast of Final Fantasy XV, as he is the group's official photographer and the one who recommended Noctis to ride chocobos.
