In the first film of its kind, the trailer for Iran's first vampire film was finally released after receiving praise when it debuted at the Sundance Film Festival this year.

The feminist film features a strong female lead role, a vampire played by Sheila Vand who preys on misogynist men who think she is submissive.

Written and directed by Ana Lily Amirpour and produced by Elijah Wood, A Girl Walks Home at Night, takes place at the fictional Iranian town of Bad City, where prostitutes, drugs and crime fill the streets. As death plagues the town, the people are unaware that the lonely female is really a vampire.

"I'm bad," Vand says in the trailer.

Not only does the film have a feminist message, but it features awesome Arabic punk music and beautiful cinematography.

Based on its trailer, A Girl Walks Home at Night appears to be a hauntingly hypnotizing film with dramatic visuals and a dark mood. In her feature film debut, Amirpour's style reflects American filmmakers like David Lynch and Francis Ford Coppola with western, film noir and Iranian New Wave influences.

A Girl Walks Home at Night premiered at a few film festivals including Sundance, earning Amirpour a nomination for the Breakthrough Director award at the Gotham Independent Film Awards.

No release date for the first feminist vampire film is known, but A Girl Walks Home at Night will premier in New York and Los Angeles for a limited time Nov. 21.

The trailer only adds to the film's growing reputation. Watch it in full below.
