The last week of February will get more interesting for the Nokia fans. A new Nokia tablet has apparently been spotted on GFXBench, which suggests that consumers could see HMD Global unveil the device on Feb. 26 at the MWC 2017.

According to the benchmark listing, the mysterious tablet does not have any specific name. However, the Android-powered tablet is believed to be a new device from Nokia.

The GFXBench listing, as shared by NokiaPowerUser, reveals the specs and features of the impending tablet, offering a peek into the device.

Rumored Specs

The listing reveals that the tablet will sport a colossal 18.4-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The massive screen size could possibly be the major selling point of this new tablet.

The upcoming Nokia tablet may house the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor unlike its Nokia 6 smartphone, which has the older Snapdragon 430. The processor is expected to clock at 2.2 Ghz.

This new chipset is expected to power several new smartphones such as the LG G6 and the Galaxy S8. Fans are hoping that future Nokia-branded devices will also house the Snapdragon 835 processor.

The mysterious tablet on the benchmarking site points to 64 GB of on-board storage for the device. Whether the tablet will have the option of expanding its memory further via a microSD card is not known. The device is expected to have 4 GB of RAM.

The leaked tablet may offer a 12-megapixel primary camera that supports Ultra HD video recording but no LED flash. Surprisingly, the leaks point to the tablet offering a 12-megapixel front-facing camera, which may find favor with selfie lovers. The supposed Nokia-branded tablet will come preloaded with Android 7.0 Nougat (FIH edition).

The listing does not reveal the battery of the tablet. However, consumers can look forward to the tablet offering several connectivity options like a barometer, Bluetooth, NFC, light sensor, gyroscope, pedometer, Wi-Fi, and more.

Release Date

HMD Global or Nokia have not confirmed any details on the purported tablet. Finland-based Nokia has made a successful comeback by launching its Android smartphone, Nokia 6 which is now available only in China.

Ever since its comeback, the company is working on bringing a new set of global devices that would be the perfect blend of functionality and design.

The iconic Nokia brand will probably be introducing some of its new creations at the MWC 2017. Whether the mysterious tablet will make an appearance at MWC 2017 remains to be seen.
