Nintendo NES Classic Edition fans have something to cheer about. Select Target stores are going to get a daily supply of the elusive gaming consoles.

There is a huge rift between the demand and the supply of the gaming console and the NES Classic Edition is difficult to procure at its $60 price tag. The supply issues notwithstanding, the demand for the console remains unaffected.

Target has finally taken a step towards meeting the demands for the NES Classic Edition and customers will now be able to find the gaming device at most Target stores.

What is The Nintendo NES Classic Edition?

The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Classic Edition is a revamped, miniature model of the original NES gaming console. It was launched in stores on Nov. 11, 2016 at a price of $59.99 and has sold like hot cakes ever since.

The console comes with a pre-loaded set of 30 games. Some of them include Dr. MarioZelda II: The Adventure of LinkDonkey Kong and more.

What Is The Status of Its Retail Stock?

The Target stores in area code of 10001 can be currently seen with the NES Classic Edition stocked on their racks. Running a check on BrickSeek shows that Target stores in the Atlantic Terminal have seven NES gaming consoles in stock. The Harlem Target stores have six units, whereas the Target Clifton and Bronx-Throggs have seven and three units in stock, respectively.

Target inventory stocks have dropped from 6 percent to 3 percent in just two days.

How Are People Buying It?

Apart from desperately waiting for their nearest Target store to replenish its stocks, NES enthusiasts on the prowl are even buying resold editions online on Amazon. The prices have soared up to an excess of $150.

When Is Toys R Us Getting Supplied?

Rumors are afloat that Toys R Us is getting a huge supply of the NES Classic Edition on Jan. 26. The best way, however, to buy this hard to reach console is through Target stores. The device will be available regularly in these stores. Target is way ahead of its rival Walmart (1 percent), in terms of NES stocks.

Reports suggest that the Target website users have been told that the device is out of stock, even though the website displayed the opposite.

Where Else Can One Buy The NES Classic Edition?

The NES Classic Edition is also available on Player's Choice, Chunk Toys and Newegg. The prices on these websites have been hiked due to the high demand.

Newegg has priced the NES Classic Edition at a whopping $219 and Chunk Toys has priced it at $249.99. Player's Choice lists the console for $199.99.
