Fantastic news awaits all the Instagram users as the previously announced live video for Instagram Stories feature will be rolling out to everyone in the coming days.

Instagram currently has 150 million users across the globe. The company, however, feels that this number is still not sufficient for a networking service.

With the new built-in live video on Instagram Stories feature, which will be rolled out all over the world over the next few days, the photo-sharing app is looking to change things around.

"Today we're excited to share that live video on Instagram Stories - a new way to connect with your friends and followers right now - will be rolling out to our entire global community over the next week. From real-time makeup tutorials to live DJ sets, it's been exciting to watch as the community shares new sides of their lives," shared Instagram in a blog post.

Social networking has always been about people sharing their stories in the form of photographs or videos. The whole idea of expressing oneself becomes an integral part of this platform. The live videos for Instagram Stories feature will aid users in expressing themselves in a better manner.

The live video feature had been announced in November 2016 but will now be available for everyone. In December 2016, Tech Times also reported that the feature was made available for U.S. Instagram users.

How Does It Work?

The live video feature basically works in the panel for Instagram stories. These Stories are available only for a 24-hour window before they vanish automatically. With the live video feature, Instagram users will be able to post and view real-time video content.

To begin a live video, a user has to swipe right from the feed. Once the story opens, they need to select the option for Start Live Video in the camera.

A single video can have a maximum duration of an hour. Once a user has finished watching the video, the live story disappears from the app.

Apart from this, Instagram users would be able to access the "Top Live" on Explore option, which will connect the user to live stories occurring at the time.

The live video for Instagram Stories feature is available to users all over the globe as part of the version 10.0 update for the app.

The new feature is being pushed out incrementally and, therefore, it may not be available for all users at the same time.
