A new video has surfaced online showing leaked images and renders of the successor of the Sony Xperia XA 2016 model. The Xperia XA (2017) is rumored to come with a 5-inch screen with thin bezels.

The latest video leaked by TechLover HD shows a Sony handset carrying the model number "G3121."

The two-minute-long video also features the Xperia prototype from different angles, showing few menu screens.

While fiddling with the handset, TechLover HD shows from the "About Phone" option that the prototype runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and has the Jan. 5 Android security patch.

The build number of the phone is 40.0.A.0.137 and it has thin side bezels, but broad upper and lower bezels. One also gets a glimpse into the rumored 23-megapixel rear-facing camera of the Sony smartphone.

TechLover HD shows the audience that the rear camera supports Full HD video recording at 30 frames per second. The camera setting also supports features like object tracking, auto capture, and steady shots.

Sony Xperia XA (2017) Previous Rumors

In December 2016, product renders of the rumored Sony Xperia XA successor surfaced online. The leaks were featured on the SlashLeaks website and revealed that the Sony handset will measure 5.7 x 2.63 x 0.31 inches.

The latest leaked video confirms previous rumors stating that the unnamed Sony handset would not feature a fingerprint sensor and will come with a USB Type-C port.

Xperia XA (2016) Specs

The predecessor of the upcoming Sony Xperia G3121, the Sony Xperia XA, was released in June 2016. The handset was preloaded with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, but one can expect the OS to be upgraded to the latest Android Nougat soon.

The handset is powered by a Mediatek Helio P10 chipset with an octa-core CPU and Mali-T860MP2 for graphics.

The smartphone runs on a 2,300 mAh battery and comes with 2 GB of RAM and 12 GB of internal storage, expandable up to a mammoth 200 GB with a microSD card.

The Sony Xperia XA sports a 5-inch HD 720p touchscreen with a super vivid display mode.

The 13-megapixel primary camera comes with hybrid autofocus, HDR photo, auto scene recognition, and Exmor RS mobile sensor. The 8-megapixel front camera sports a wide angle lens and supports autofocus and low-light photography.

Xperia XA (2017) Price And Availability

The next-gen smartphone is rumored to be launched at the MWC 2017. The company has an event scheduled for Feb. 27 and fans could see the new handset debut at the trade show.

The Sony Xperia XA (2016) comes in four colors, namely White Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold. It is available at BestBuy, Amazon, and B&H for purchase. The phone is priced at $249.99 at BestBuy, $239.72 at Amazon, and $299.99 at B&H. The price point for its successor is expected to be the same and hopefully, the company will include more color options to lure consumers.
