Terry Crews wants to be Doomfist. Every Overwatch fan must be excited.

The star of FOX hit comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine teased the internet with his mock audition for the voice lines of Doomfist.

Crews shared his mock lines with a video from Yahoo eSports. In the video, he is shown with a montage of Doomfist and the renowned "gauntlet." Crews recites some lines and looks very much in character.

Overwatch's Doomfist

Doomfist is a well-known character in the Overwatch lore. He first existed as a mere mention, a character recounted by the kid in the Overwatch debut trailer. But soon enough his lore started to take form. In the universe, Doomfist is said to have wielded a powerful gauntlet. He is a "generational type" of hero, meaning he only appears from time to time. It is said that there have been only three Doomfists that existed: the Savior, the Scourge, and the Successor.

Now, there have been reports that Blizzard is planning to add another hero. And Doomfist's name comes up always.

Terry Crews Bringing The Hurt

"First came the Savior. The Scourge. The Successor," Crews begins with his lines. "I'm Doomfist. Get ready to hurt!"

"I could totally level a skyscraper! Your face, my fist. Your doom make room!" These lines can probably send a hardcore Overwatch fan trembling.

It is no secret that the actor wants to snag the role. He is a social media-savvy personality and has announced his intentions via his Twitter and Facebook accounts. He has also done a Reddit interview where he said he wanted to play the role.

He recently visited the Blizzard HQ, which got all the fans hyped up. It is not yet known whether Crews will get the role, or if Blizzard is even considering him. But as Crews loves to say when he loves a challenge: "What?"

Overwatch is an online multiplayer team-based shooter game. Blizzard, creator of the popular Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo series, calls its fourth game an "online brawler." The gameplay involves selecting different "heroes" with different sets of abilities. Together with a team, the player's goal is to defeat the opposing side via the number of kills, capturing points in the map, or escorting a payload under a time limit.

Overwatch was released in May 2016 for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game became an instant hit, drawing millions of players. It now has more than 25 million players worldwide.
