2013 is on its last legs and the world is gearing up to welcome year 2014. Facebook and Twitter have devised their own ways of celebrating the year that was, by recapping the events and updates on their dedicated pages. The third most visited site on this planet, YouTube, too is celebrating with its YouTube Rewind 2013 that showcases the top trending videos of the year.

YouTube Rewind 2013 landing page lists out the top trending videos, top trending music videos, and most subscribed channels by breaking down everything to categories like Geek, Pranks, Education and more.

The breakout hit by Ylvis called "What Does the Fox Say?" is the most trending video of the year, drawing attention of more than 2.5 billions viewers (and counting).

The most viewed music video of 2013 was PSY's Gentleman (600 million+ views), beating two singles by Miley Cyrus - "Wrecking Ball" (400 million+ views) and "We Can't Stop" (306 million+ views). Interestingly, Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez's "Come & Get It" too managed to find a spot in top ten trending music videos of 2013. The catchy single "Wake Me Up," by Swedish DJ Avicii was the 10th most watched music video this year.

The excitable PweDiePie is the number one channel with 17 million subscribers, followed by HolaSoyGerman and Smost with 13 million and 14 million subscribers respectively.
