James Corden has revealed his dream guests for future appearances on his incredibly successful "Carpool Karaoke" viral video segments. Corden's list includes A-list pop stars like Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift, plus Irish rock band U2 and legendary diva Barbra Streisand.

The Rise Of 'Carpool Karaoke'

James Corden has made quite a name for himself on the strength of the wildly popular "Carpool Karaoke" segments culled from his CBS late night show The Late Late Show with James Corden. The 30-odd segments that began appearing in 2015, first on the show and then on The Late Late Show's YouTube channel, have amassed more than 1 billion YouTube views and arguably have done more to make UK native Corden's name in the United States than the nightly chatfest they emanate from.

Corden, who was already a well-known comedian in the UK, capitalized on his relationships with some of that nation's biggest stars to help launch "Carpool Karaoke," and to date his early rides with One Direction and Adele rank among the most-viewed segments of "Carpool Karaoke" on YouTube. Adele's appearance, in fact, was the most viewed viral video of all in 2016.

Since Adele's appearance, big-name pop stars like Madonna, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Jenifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Selena Gomez, and many, many more have all graced the passenger seat of Corden's sing-along ridemobile. Even former First Lady Michelle Obama got in on the action, and now Apple Music is set to debut a separate stand-alone series version of the segments.

James Corden's 'Carpool Karaoke' Wish List

That doesn't mean there aren't a slew of artists that have yet to join the "Carpool Karaoke" club, and Corden has just revealed who are on top of his wish list.

"Beyoncé. And U2. And Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith," he revealed, then adding one more dream guest to his list, "Barbra Streisand!"

Who would he not invite to appear on a segment? "Well, that would be unkind to say but our rules are that they [the invited guests] have to have a lot of hits and I have to be a fan!" Corden insisted.

As for his dream list, many of the stars Corden is hoping for are in fact likely to appear at some point. Sheeran, in fact has confirmed an upcoming appearance.

"I can confirm that at some point this year, I will be doing a 'Carpool Karaoke,'" he said recently. "I've been in touch with James Corden about this for three years, because he wanted me to do the first one and I just wasn't around."

Since most artists time their "Carpool Karaoke" appearances to promote an upcoming album or project, Smith, Swift and U2 will likely wait to appear but Katy Perry, who has a new single out and an album just on the horizon, could be a likely guest in the near future. As for Beyoncé, we expect she won't be gracing Corden's ride anytime soon, given that she's currently pregnant with twins. And what about Streisand? The reclusive diva is notoriously private, but if anyone can charm her into a sing-along ride, it's Corden. He may have to pick up Barbra in a Rolls-Royce, however.
